I've known Queenie since my days at LB. She's 45% genuine, 45% down to earth and 10% [huh?].
Our conversation from last nite:
Me: What's that sound in the background? Tv?
Q: No, its my Dad lecturing me...
Me: Wow, he's loud~ What did you buy this time? Clothes, bags, shoes or...?
Q: Haha. I bought something that I thought was useful.
Me: Which was...?
[at this point, I honestly thought she bought cleaning supplies or some sort of home appliance. I was not prepared for the answer she was about to say.]
Q: I bought a fire extinguisher.
[o.O silent pause]
Me: ... ok ... um, why?
Q: It was a group purchase with my coworkers... Original price was almost NT$3000, I got it for less than $2000. It's a good deal right?
Me: [couldn't stop laughing]
