Rotten tomatoes gave it a 82% on the tomatometer, calling it "smart, original, and horiffically funny..."

I do have to admit that I did laugh a lot throughout the film. Not because of the breakthrough acting or compelling script, but the corny writing, the campy music and the overall stupidty.
I bet at the brainstorming session, people just spewed out random words (girl, myth, death, virgin, sex, teeth, nuclear plant, hero...) and one idiot went EUREKA! and goes 'I have the perfect movie idea! Let's make a movie about a blonde teenage girl that believes in saving herself till marriage but is unaware that she has teeth in her hoo-hoo and when guys force themselves on her, her vagina will bite the penis off and in order to have a happy ending she needs to find a hero that will conquer her special deformity...'
[throws fist up in the air and yells "boo yah bitches!]
